Harry Potter.
A character analysis.
Harry Potter is a wizard. Training at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he starts as a friendly and curious child. He is loyal to people who become very close to him. His two best friends, Ron and Hermione, and his godfather, Sirius Black, help and care about him. Harry is no stranger to tragedy. Lord Voldemort, a dark and powerful wizard, murders Harry’s parents. When Lord Voldemort returns to attack and take over the wizarding world, Harry has to rely on his friends and magical ability to protect not only himself but other wizards too.
We can tell he is a Christian because he celebrates Christmas. The evidence of this is in book one, the text clearly says, “Harry found his bed surrounded by presents the next morning,” all Christians celebrate Christmas.
His personality is curious and brave as when a mysterious looking package arrives at Hogwarts, heavily guarded, he must find out what it is. Harry shows strength and bravery when someone enters his name in a very dangerous tournament -the Triwizard Tournament- where he is forced to compete!
Except for his mother’s cousin, I know that Harry has no family and they are all dead. The evidence of this is, “You must have noticed, we are both orphans.” said Tom Riddle. This concludes that Harry is an orphan.
Harry was a child that grew into a hero, turned into a good student, and was defined by the decisions he made. If he didn’t make the decisions that showed he was brave, a true friend, strong and trusting individual, then he wouldn’t have gone down in wizarding history. People learn from the decisions they make, not the decisions that others make for them. Harry was a great example of an independent person who was able to make his own decisions.
In conclusion, Harry Potter is an orphan, a Christian and very audacious teenager. He is adventurous and a very inspirational person!
